191 Days
In 191 days I am planning on doing the Cap City Half Marathon in Columbus, Ohio. It’s on April 24th.
I used to run all the time, have completed one full marathon in 1994 (3:48 time), but then a few twists in life happened including my natural knees getting so bad I could barely walk.
Well, October 2, 2025 I had my right knee replaced, and on March 5, 2026 I had my left knee changed.
I have worked really hard to strengthen especially since I am the primary caregiver for my oldest son, Alex, who was catastrophically injured in 2004 at the age of 6 1/2, but who is extremely healthy and loves to go, go, go.
I promised him I’d work hard 😊
Follow along on this journey.
Trust me, it takes effort, but movement at any age is important, but at 62, it start becoming even more crucial.
My goal…finish the race. Time goal…I do not have one. I’m just enjoying being able to do something again that I love to do.
And bonus…my second-born son is going to join me. How cool is that!!!
